CP+ 2015 Japan: Highlights for Micro Four Thirds

Well, nothing new out of CP+ 2015 for Micro Four Thirds, as all the big announcements came weeks before the official event. I was hopeful for the Panasonic GX8, but no signs of an announcement yet. One of the coolest things out of CP+ 2015, was an interview with Setsuya Kataoka from Olympus, who mentioned that the 40mp sensor shift technology found in the EM5 Mk II will soon be possible without a tripod. Olympus OM-D EM-5 Mk II – Slated for release at the end of this month.

The Olympus Air – The Sony QX like camera, a companion to your smartphone is available online only through Olympus.

Panasonic

Panasonic GF7 – Slated for release on Feb. 20th, adding another body with an flip-up screen to the Micro Four Thirds lineup.

Panasonic 30mm Macro – The development was announced in September and was on display at CP+, no further details about it’s release but should drop sometime this year.
